A Ball Gown Under 30 $

after malaria

After the little cold but has turned out to be my first malaria, I am again very active. Unfortunately, the malaria Lale and cost me in terms of cooperation much time. The day after she arrived in Rukararwe for working together, broke her right, even at the disease. Now we will implement our plans before next week and have not an exact match for our project proposal-call (not least because of the elapse week not just renewed Internet connection) without leave application. The deadline would have been 17:04 and until a week before that I have experienced in my information gathering in Kampala it. Unfortunately, just the organization had special forms, so we have not simply our previous material at random to send.

Malaria may sound bad, but it is fortunately not been. I just had everything that is unpleasant. And at a time. Then I was pretty weakened two weeks. Now, the vulnerability is likely higher, again to get malaria. At home, the risk is very low, because there are no mosquitoes here. Even in Kampala, I'm going to get malaria again hopefully not, because I was probably infected by a traveler from Tanzania, who has lived in the same house. Unfortunately I did not use Artemisia, because I wanted to cancel the kutfall. In acute cases, I unfortunately can not be retained, and then made it a conventional drug, which worked immediately.

straight line is a group from Germany to visit in Uganda and most recently three days in Bushenyi have been. They have brought new ideas and also financial support, which is especially the women here, whose products have taken plenty of guests, added enormously pleased. Nuhn I hope this momentum motivation use a constructive manner. When it comes to school uniforms, it is finally going right. The material from Kampala is here, the measurements are taken, negotiated the prices and new orders in the pipeline. The four weeks school holidays have just begun, will use the seamstresses hope to complete all ordered uniforms. Also as far as the work of the women's group, the holiday season is very good because a teacher as the Chairwoman and now has four weeks of average capacity.

the last week I had a mountain bike. It is an ancient Chinese model, and must be overhauled once, but I hope that more than half leave the road in the city driving to. With the existing old Boda Boda - bike I am not only no increase in high-but not always progress in straight lines. This is not just the wheel, the Netherlands, it would be great. Here, the road quality is simply very different. For the first time since I've come back sick from Kampala, we were shopping for food. And half the day is over. Thanks to Geoffrey, who during his visit this week for me Lale and tons of passion fruit, oranges, papaya, etc. has brought, and my caring neighbors, which could not be dissuaded, for me to cook, is not a problem have been .

Kampala Kampala

Now I am much longer than planned away from home. Fort Portal, I visited still do not know but I was over Easter in Jinja, where Paul and Sabrina, two more solivol volunteers who work and live, and work this week in the YSA bureau. Hoping that we will actually go on the weekend to Soroti, I'm using the faster Internet for research and reporting and for developing and fixing billing and Buchfuehrungsrichtlinien for RPWRD. These are namely either not yet or no one can tell me where they are located. But since received many donations, wishes can organize a summary document on the subject, taking in all the insight. In addition to pressing Materialeinkaeufen and visit projects of the other volunteers, the Goethe Centre in Kampala, an Indian temple and the National Theatre and I have Lale concrete idea of our cooperation significantly. Now it is burning under my fingers, the test here by Lale learned production, a hand cream to quickly group in Bushenyi and propose to the women. In Jinja, I met Sarah, a young woman from Uganda who cares full time for street boys in Jinja and me very good tips to improve our Chain production has given. In the National Theater and a visit to the Rainbow House of Hope Uganda, the NGO, working in another solivol volunteer from our group, Philip, I was able to make another very useful contacts particularly with regard to the proposed cultural center.
Personally, I am also therefore possible soon back down to Rukararwe because the things that I want to do all add up and the noise and dirt of Kampala and in my opinion, very questionable lifestyle of volunteers in Jinja (clubbing, swimming pools, expensive Bars, maid, living in buildings that look like colonial mansions and the like) have a kind of nostalgia for the rest Rukararwes and especially the continuation my language teaching cause. Nevertheless, the time here in the city very economical and easy to clean and put in a lighted room in which running water out of the wall is coming and you can take a shower for me after five weeks is a pretty nice luxury. So my feeling at a cold shower did so quite quickly relative. Now I have the feeling that I will suffer much more under the "return culture shock" when I'm back in the German society of excess, as I touched the little bit less comfort here.

I just am sick for the first time. It got me the incredibly insidious and worrying tropical disease "slight cold" when I was at the Jinja in the rain soaked Nilfall complete. So far I am in top shape physically, which in many fruits, the sun and direct access to medicinal herbs in Rukararwe should not surprise.

The Nile, I Robert, met a 28 year old Kenyan from a border town with Uganda. He works for a rafting company. Half his face was swollen, cracked a lip when he asked me whether I did not want to go rafting for $ 120. He told that he did not earn excessively, but the day before the raft had an accident. I have entertained me longer with him and thanked for the friendly offer rafting without accepting it.

soon and all a good time

climbing frame's orphanage

Hi,

after busy days, I'm finally back to to post something. I'm doing wonderfully still. Yesterday we in the orphanage a brilliant idea Andres built following a short climbing course. This has Nelson, Pia, Andre and cost me all day and we were nicely furnished in Ruhanzesia. As women with Panga, hammer and nail have Pia and I amused some people, because this is actually a taboo.

Today Friday, so I go to Flora's school to share a few computer skills. Pia and celebrate in the evening then leave, and Andre-as it should, a goat is slaughtered. We celebrate the fire in the forest and I am very excited. How can I deal with the goat in me I have to think it over well. But, thank heaven for nearly a year's time.

From next Sunday I will go. Actually I do not want away from Rukararwe (visit another volunteer and make a few purchases in the botanical garden) but has to Fort Portal, get in Kampala material for the tayloring workshop and the group of women and work in the cooperation with YSA and then allowed I have a new project visit in Soroti. Soroti, however, depends on whether fold all plans and Geoffrey has time to take me. Geoffrey is quasi chief of RPWRD and YSA. I would therefore very much welcome to also go to Soroti and am curious how everything goes. This one can still never know.

from Kampala I got by the mission or warning messages that might give disturbances in an urban area (Makerer University, were todgeschossen where a few days ago, according to the diplomatic mission under unexplained circumstances, two students of security guards). If you are in the so-called "German List" section, you get regular reports about such incidents. So far This is but the first since I'm here. Two days after the last warning was already a message that the riots were over.

In terms of communication, I still get not the first lesson in Runyankole, but I hope to soon and timpani ever for me so far is the self-taught. Particularly in dealing with the children and the women's group, it is possible I did not come with English more.

soon and greetings to Germany, where I heard that spring finally knocks.
